In early December, the MBA Volunteers and Net Impact cosponsored a Holiday Toy Drive in conjunction with Toys for Tots. Who Am I?
I lived in 14 different houses before I even started college. Some were nice (a beach house in Santa Cruz), some were not so nice (a trailer in Tahoe), and some were unique (an adobe on an Indian Reservation). I recently took my boyfriend home for Thanksgiving to meet my family. My crazy Harleydriving aunt immediately began to incessantly flirt with him . . . and never stopped . . . Coming to business school and draining my fi nances helped me kick my addiction to laser hair removal. I fully plan on resuming this addiction when I am once again employed . . .I am a constant list maker and every morning I plan out my day in 15-minute increments. I never follow the list, but I like the sense of structure . . . I love my random food experiments . . . I cook rice in order to cover it in my favorite condiment of the moment. I love chili pepper fl akes on my salad, Tabasco on my popcorn, and lemon pepper on my bagels . . . I am a West Coast girl with a love of the beach, pedicures, and Paul Rudd. Who am I? MSB Welcomes Legg Mason Strategist By Varsha Garg, MBA '08
Sometimes it takes more than just a stroke of luck or genius - it takes a stroke of perfection. In 1997, Tiger Woods won the Masters, the ultimate honor in pro golf, but followed with a 28-month drought before reclaiming the game. Why? Tiger decided that it was more important to concentrate on perfecting his swing than to rely on strokes of luck to win tournaments. Where has it gotten him? His restless quest for continued improvement has made Tiger the golfi ng icon of the 21st century. Continued Here... |

Georgetown Wine Society By Emily Fess, MBA '07
The wine society's boutique wine tasting with CrushTank combined entrepreneurship with MSB alumni and wine aficionados. In November, the wine society sampled numerous boutique wines, which are low production wines with little or no distribution. The event introduced GWS members to numerous wines that are not available in liquor stores in the DC area. Boutique wines, which are also called "bathtub wines" because people used to age them in bathtubs, are usually produced by winemakers that have other full-time jobs, but their passion for wine motivates them to make their own.
