The Global Integrative is a unique program that sets Georgetown apart from other business schools.

Combining a series of on-campus lectures and case studies on the history and economy of the Global country,with a week of in-country meetings and presentations to clients, this program is truly a defining experience of the MSB program.

Dubai is not a mirage.
From sailing to the sandy beaches on the man-made islands of "The World," to riding the 40-foot desert sand dunes, to seeing the indoor ski slopes inside the world's largest mall, the 53 Georgetown MBA students who traveled on the Global Integrative to Dubai in February learned that it is truly a city like no other.

Just days after ending Mod 3 in the Car Barn, we landed in Shanghai for the Global Integrative - disoriented after a 14 hour flight into a whole new world.

In the words of Professor Thomas Cook, when 53 Georgetown MBA students traveled to Ho Chi Minh City for the Global Integrative, they "never looked back." The integrative, graciously hosted by Professor Cook and Professor Catherine Langlois, was a giant success.

A 19-hour trans-atlantic flight might not have been an ideal way to kickoff the single most eagerly anticipated two weeks on the Georgetown MBA calendar. But frankly, the two weeks that followed more than made up for the ordeal.

"Kanpai!"

Over Spring break, 27 members of the MSB community broadened their horizons culturally and professionally on Japan Trek. The 6-day event focused on three things: culture, business, and food.

For the 2008 Business Planning Integrative, our group looked at several trends: micro-finance, baby boomers and emerging markets trade. We were however swayed towards a business idea that seemed scalable, profitable and 'current.'

Mod 4 has been busy for everyone, but GWIB members had an even busier schedule, with chances to attend multiple events that empower and enrich their business experience.

On April 11th, students from the MSB presented research findings on gender issues in the workplace, as part of the Georgetown University Women's Leadership Initiative's (GUWLI) first annual Gender in the Workplace Research Initiative.

On March 15th, five members of the Georgetown Entrepreneur Network attended the Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) at the Wharton School of Business.

On Thursday March 27th, the band Pheremoneus made its Georgetown MSB debut at Saloun on M Street, as part of a fundraiser for Net Impact.

The MSB community came together on Saturday, April 12th to celebrate the diversity of its student body. Students from over 20 different countries brought food, drinks, and music from their respective countries to sample.

On April 10, 300 students ventured to the Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse to see the premiere of the 2008 Annual Report. This feature-length film was full of skits that provided a humorous look at the lives of Georgetown MBA students.
